The Baguio City LGU and the Mayors for Good Governance (M4GG) formally turned over financial assistance today, October 15, 2025, to the Provincial Government of Cebu, represented by Governor Pam Baricuatro. The total cash donation was ₱2.125 million, aimed at aiding victims of the recent earthquake.
Mayor Benjie Magalong of Baguio City, a convenor of the M4GG, and Councilor Jose Molintas traveled to Cebu province to personally conduct the turnover. Governor Baricuatro graciously welcomed them at the Cebu Provincial Capitol, underscoring the vital spirit of cooperation among local government units.
Mayor Magalong reaffirmed that Baguio City and M4GG stand firmly with the People of Cebu as they navigate their road to recovery and rebuilding. This turnover signifies a strong commitment to good governance through tangible inter-LGU support during times of crisis. The cash donation is expected to provide much-needed relief in affected communities.
